Many groups and individuals support The Community Table financially. Some contributions are one time gifts, some are the result of fund raisers sponsored by a business or organization, and some are regular monthly contributions.
Sylva Rotary Club has made one time contributions for specific purposes and several individuals have signed up to contribute $30.00 per month to support regular operations. Clearly, this is simply a dollar per day for the individual but it helps feed some 60 people per day. Some churches contribute in a similar manner. Other groups and individuals are encouraged to consider making regular contributions. Anyone interested in learning more should call 828-586-6782, and talk to our Executive Director.
The Church of Christ of Sylva provides major support for the Community Table by providing the house which is the home of The Community Table rent free. Others have contributed in kind equipment, supplies, and services. These include: Marty Talik of Smokey Mountain Plumbing, James DeHart of Current Choice Electrical, Tommy Stovall of Southern Lumber, and Larry Hinton of Shaw Ford.
